of Ireland, where she had been returned to training for three starts
after having been bred. In three seasons racing in the UK before
that she had been a model of consistency, winning seven times at
six and seven furlongs and placing on 29 occasions from 59 outings.

A purchase at the 2006 Newmarket December Sale, and the most
recent addition to the broodmare band, TENEBRAE is the first foal of
the winning GULCH mare DARK VEIL, herself a daughter of a top-class
2 and 3yo in CRYSTAL GAZING, winner of the Nell Gwyn Stakes and
Rockfel Stakes and 3rd in the 1000 Guineas. DARL VEIL's 2nd foal
LAMENTATION, a 3/4 sister to TENEBRAE by SINGSPIEL, was a winner and
